Raising funds for good causes is a continuous journey that requires resolve and inspiration. The global lottery community gathers every two years for the World Lottery Summit – a four day congress featuring inspirational keynotes and expert panels. The WLA offers a number of information services to support lottery members in their endeavours, including the highly regarded WLA Quarterly Lottery Sales Indicator and the acclaimed WLA Global Lottery Data Compendium. Research for both publications is derived from direct input from WLA members and vetted for accuracy and authenticity.

As part of its efforts to support the industry in achieving sports integrity, the WLA established the GLMS – an international association of state lotteries that operates a global monitoring system dedicated to detecting and deterring the manipulation of sports competitions and illegal betting activities. Luca Esposito is the General Secretary of GLMS, and serves concurrently as the Executive Director of the WLA.

Following a successful audit by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), Malta-based B2B supplier EveryMatrix has earned the WLA Security Control Standard 2020 (WLA-SCS:2020) Level 2 certification for its sports betting, iGaming and iLottery platforms. This marks the second time the company has been awarded the certification. The prestigious award is based on rigorous, comprehensive testing and assessment of an operator’s security controls against a set of industry-specific standards.
