The World Lottery Association


The World Lottery Association, or WLA, is the global professional association for state lottery organizations. Members include gaming organizations from over 80 countries and many associate members from the supplier industry. Collectively, these member organizations generate revenues in excess of $250 billion per year. In addition to ensuring responsible and socially responsible gaming practices, they also contribute to charities and good causes. The WLA is a member of the International Association of Lotteries and Gaming Associations (IAGL).

The World Lottery Association represents the interests of 150 state-authorized lotteries around the world. The association serves lottery operators, suppliers and sports betting operators, as well as lottery software developers. Its members collectively raised over USD 86 billion in good causes in 2019 alone. Over one trillion dollars in revenue has been raised since WLA’s founding in 1999.
