The world lottery association is the international federation of state-sanctioned lotteries. With a global network of professionals, the association offers its members a platform for sharing technological innovations, lottery industry intelligence and leading-edge marketing concepts.

A wide variety of educational events support the learning process among WLA members and their suppliers, year-round. These are usually live events (seminars) and virtual events (webinars), bringing together specialists from inside and outside the lottery sector to share their knowledge and experience.

World Lottery Summit Every two years, the WLA organizes a large international convention – the World Lottery Summit – which features a comprehensive business program and an extensive social programme. It is the largest lottery conference in the world, attracting more than 1,000 delegates from around the globe.

Responsible Gaming Framework The WLA’s Responsible Gaming Framework is based on four levels of achievement and 10 program elements that lotteries can demonstrate to be committed to responsible gaming practices. It outlines how lotteries can integrate responsible gaming into their day-to-day operations and show continuous improvement in the way they promote and implement responsible gaming programs.

Award for Excellence

The WLA Responsible Gaming Awards are awarded to member lotteries for their outstanding efforts in the responsible gaming field. Past winners have included the Hoosier Lottery, which received Level 4 certification from the Responsible Gaming Verification program of the WLA and the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).

World Lottery Magazine – the official publication of the WLA

The association’s flagship journal, the WLA Magazine, provides an in-depth look at the latest association business. It also contains regular features on key themes that impact the lottery industry, such as sports integrity and cybersecurity.
