The World Lottery Association

world lottery association

The world lottery association represents the interests of state lotteries and sports betting operators. Their mission is to promote responsible gaming and raise funds for public good, through the sale of fun and entertaining games.

WLA Members comprise more than 150 lotteries spread across 80 countries and 5 continents. They are supported by over 70 suppliers of goods and services to the lottery industry.

In order to advance the collective interests of its members, the WLA has an extensive program of events and seminars. These specialized programs are designed to provide WLA Members with the latest information, technological innovations, lottery industry intelligence, and leading-edge marketing concepts.

The WLA Academy offers a range of specialized trainings for all members and their staff, covering topics relevant to the lottery industry. These include security, responsible gaming, marketing, and sport betting.

Certifications to the World Lottery Association’s two internationally recognized standards – the Security Control Standard (WLA-SCS) and the Responsible Gaming Framework (WLA-RGF) – help you gain regulatory acceptance, secure your players’ trust, improve your performance, and increase your brand loyalty.

The WG Principles and the RGF are part of the WLA’s commitment to supporting lotteries in their responsibility to their players, communities and the environment. They also serve as a platform for the global lottery community to collaborate and share best practices.
