The World Lottery Association

world lottery association

The world lottery association is the global standard-bearer for state-sanctioned lotteries, helping them to promote their role in society and raise money for charity and good causes. WLA acts as an open forum for its members and provides a range of specialized services to help them grow their businesses.

The WLA Academy: An extensive series of specialized seminars is held every year in partnership with the world’s five regional lottery associations. These workshops are free for WLA member lotteries and offer a range of expert guidance on key industry topics, from marketing to responsible gaming.

Security certification: The WLA-SCS is the only internationally recognized security standard open to lottery and sports betting operators and suppliers. It enables operators to demonstrate that their security standards are at the forefront of industry practice, ensuring public confidence in their games and protecting players and their funds.

Social responsibility: The WLA membership adopted a set of Principles in Granada that highlight the role played by state lotteries in society and the importance of the funds they generate for charities and good causes. The principles, based on the WLA bylaws, provide an overview of how lotteries should approach this important aspect of their operations.

Renew your responsible gaming program: The WLA offers a variety of certification levels that are designed to reward members who are committed to the best practices in responsible gaming. These levels range from level 1 through to level 4.
