The World Lottery Association (WLA) is a global organization of lottery operators and suppliers. The association focuses on responsible gaming, responsible advertising and environmental developments. Members can join this association to learn more about the latest developments and best practices in the industry. Associate members are also welcome to attend the association’s seminars.

The WLA was created in 1999 from the merger of the International Association of State Lotteries (IASL) and the International Association of Toto and Lotto Organizations (IATTO). Members of WLA have combined revenues in excess of $250 billion. In addition, member organizations adhere to social responsibility and responsible gaming standards and make contributions to good causes. WLA Data compendium – an annual research report of lottery operators worldwide – provides a wealth of information to lottery industry members.

The WLA serves the interests of 150 state-authorized lotteries and other lottery suppliers worldwide. Its members have contributed USD 86 billion in good causes in 2019, and more than $1 trillion since 1999. As an Associate Member, EveryMatrix will continue to work with WLA to advance its mission.

The WLA also supports the development of internationally recognized standards for the lottery industry. The WLA’s Security Control Standard and Responsible Gaming Framework are examples of such standards. These certifications help lottery operations gain regulatory approval and gain players’ trust. They also improve organizational performance and brand loyalty. Lastly, the WLA promotes the development of a global accreditation program for lottery operators and suppliers.
